viciouskitty74 SG Okies, the laundry was done, and it rained last night, so an earlier batch of laundry has to be rinsed again and I've put all of them up to dry now. Its going to be sunny hot in the day. I am logging off to go riding and out of the hair of the secretary and my stepmother. Maybe go nua at Swensons again and read. they have the lovely Rum & Raisin Icecream that cost only 39baht a scoop. thats like only $2/- a scoop. Its kinda difficult to get a english magazine in Thailand cos they are all imports from australia & UK and freaking expensive. the local english magazine is not really english at all, just a few phrase words in english! See you folks tonight when I come back to surf wikepedia again.
hisoka SG hmmz, the disc got slight displaced/protruded and the C7 nerve kena depressed by the protusion. protrusion appears to be long term in nature. no idea about last sentence
tare SG i prob not gog... tis morn no seat on mrt... stand all the way to city hall, my back still hurting now
kopiosatu SG aeronautical engineering is bull it'll be useful only when designing a plane. everything else at work is just common sense and understanding the particular aircraft's system
av98m SG oh dear. is it just my imagination or is the mrt getting increasingly crowded? I was only able to board the 3rd train that came today
Rhonda SG You're welcome! Glad to help! You're lucky because I've been working in Neurosurgery for years now. In my current ward, it's quite boring cause all I see are spinal cases. Good luck with your papers!
kopiosatu SG not as crowded as japan. but i prefer taking the MRT than a cab in bangkok. - not as crowded - quiet (e.g. no ah bengs talking loudly) - seeing people give up their seats automatically - more pretty girls
LOTUSfairy SG wondering oso.... more pple taking bus cos of the hike in price for cabbies.. strangely i have seen many emplty cabs lately despite of the peak period at my place...last time i have to fight for cabs to get to work... instead of raising fare, why did the cab companies assist by lowering the rental of the cars...
Rhonda SG Gee, that's awful!! Melbourne is trying to solve its peak hour traffic problems on the public transport system by encouraging staggered working hours. So now, employees from participating organisations can choose to start work at 0700 / 0800/ 0900/ 1000hrs. Some official was saying that this will only shift the problem to the non-peak hour travel times, so they'll probably have to meet the change in demand with increased schedules during what were once considered "off-peak hours", otherwise, the plan won't work. I'm just mighty glad I don't have to rely on public transport to get to work!
hisoka SG its been ever more crowded since at elast 2 years ago...... actually now i take bus to work although takign mrt means that i would be able to leave home 10 mins later. reason beign the mrt is just too crowded, at least i can get a seat in the bus and sleep so that the time is not completely wasted. the only other advantage to the mrt is that get to see pretty girls.
kopiosatu SG now if u drive to work in singapore, u have to leave earlier than when u have to go public
av98m SG I also saw a queue of taxis....during peak hour!! and the chinese paper had an article on taxi drivers putting signs on their window saying that they will waive the new surcharge or something......saw the picture, and the taxi companies coming out to say that it is illegal for taxi drivers to do that
Rhonda SG I feel so sorry for the poor taxi drivers because they are just trying to make a decent living. Hellooo, Pinky!! I have to go to work now. TTYL!
hisoka SG the idea of having a centralised system for the taxi maintainence etc was good. but the companies are really screwing the taxi drivers more and more. and they can still claim the returns of the drivers have increased.........
